The Best Second Date Ideas in New York

Ten second date ideas in New York, from a 60th-floor dinner and a night of bowling with live music to a Bronx conservatory and a waterfront food market.

A second date gives you room for a bigger plan than a quick drink, whether that means dinner, a show, a long walk, or an afternoon outside. New York has endless ways to make the second date feel a little more memorable, so we narrowed it down to ten ideas worth trying together.

For a dinner with a memorable view, head to Manhatta on the 60th floor in the Financial District. The restaurant looks out over Lower Manhattan, making it a good pick when you want the night to feel a little more special.

Lunch is prix fixe, while dinner is served in several courses. Reservations open up to 28 days ahead, and the bar also accepts walk-ins.

Go bowling at Brooklyn Bowl in Williamsburg, where the lanes share the space with a live music stage. Between games, order from the Blue Ribbon menu, with brisket and Old Bay fried chicken alongside local beers from Sixpoint, Rockaway Brewing and Brooklyn Brewery.

Check the concert calendar before you go to see who is playing that night, and reserve a table ahead if you plan to eat.
